Quotes customers can approve without calling you back.
A verbal ballpark isn't a quote. A priced, itemized estimate the customer can accept with one tap is.

What is a job estimate?
A job estimate is a priced, itemized quote for work not yet performed — line items, quantities, and a total — sent to the customer before the job starts so both sides agree on scope and price up front. A clear estimate prevents “that's not what I agreed to” disputes after the fact.

The problem with going without it
Phone-quoted prices create disputes
A number given over the phone has no record. When the final bill differs, the customer remembers a lower figure than you actually said.
Writing line-item quotes eats an evening
Typing out labor, materials, and quantities for every prospective job is the admin work that gets put off — and the job goes cold while you delay.
One-size pricing loses the price-sensitive customer
Some customers want the cheapest option, some want the full package. A single flat quote forces them to negotiate instead of choosing.
WorkReceipt fixes it
Here's how estimates works
AI drafts the line items from your notes
Describe the job in a sentence or two and WorkReceipt proposes description, quantity, and price per line. You edit — you don't start from a blank page.
Good/Better/Best tiers, built in
Offer three priced options side by side. The customer picks one and accepts right on their phone — no back-and-forth call.
Accept/decline is timestamped
You know exactly when a customer said yes, and the accepted price becomes the record you invoice against — no scope-creep arguments later.

Questions
Estimates: frequently asked questions
Does my customer need an account to accept an estimate?
No. The estimate is a public share link — your customer opens it, reviews the line items (and tiers, if you added them), and taps Accept or Decline. No login required on their end.
Can I offer more than one price option?
Yes. Turn on the optional Good/Better/Best toggle and add up to three priced tiers to the same estimate. The customer picks one and that becomes the accepted price.
What happens after a customer accepts?
The accepted estimate (and tier, if applicable) is timestamped and saved. You can turn a completed job straight into an invoice using the same line items — no re-entering numbers.
What does Estimates cost?
Estimates are included starting on the Solo plan at $29/month, alongside invoice tracking, PDF export, and the saved items library. The Free plan covers reports and sign-off but not estimates.
