The follow-up that actually happens.
You meant to call that customer back about the quote. Three weeks later, you still haven't — and neither has anyone else.

What is a follow-up reminder?
A follow-up reminder is a scheduled note tied to a specific customer or job — one-time or recurring — that resurfaces on your dashboard on the date you set, so a job that needs a second look, or a customer due for seasonal service, doesn't rely on your memory.

The problem with going without it
Repeat revenue depends on remembering
The customer who declined a repair “for now,” the pool that needs a spring startup, the HVAC system due for its fall tune-up — all of it depends on someone remembering weeks or months later.
Sticky notes and mental lists don't scale
One or two follow-ups are trackable in your head. Twenty across a busy season are not.
Silence reads as indifference
A customer who never hears back after “let me think about it” assumes you moved on — and calls a competitor instead.
WorkReceipt fixes it
Here's how follow-up reminders works
Set it once, on the job itself
Add a follow-up date and a note right from the job page — no separate app, no separate calendar.
Recurring reminders for maintenance accounts
Set a 30/90/180/365-day cadence once and it keeps resurfacing without you re-scheduling it every time.
A dashboard that surfaces what's due
Overdue and upcoming follow-ups show as a single list with a badge count, so nothing quietly falls off the bottom of your to-do list.

Follow-Up Reminders: frequently asked questions
Where do follow-ups show up?
On the Follow-ups page and as a badge count in the sidebar, plus a dedicated dashboard widget listing what's overdue or coming up — you don't have to go looking for them.
Can a follow-up repeat automatically?
Yes. Set a recurrence of 30, 90, 180, or 365 days and the reminder resets itself each time you complete it, so seasonal or maintenance accounts don't need to be re-scheduled by hand.
Does this send anything to the customer automatically?
The reminder itself is internal, for you. On the Pro plan and up, WorkReceipt can also draft and send an automated customer check-in email as part of the follow-up workflow.
What does this cost?
Follow-up reminders are included on every plan, including Free — no upgrade required to use them.
